Umbro x Monorex

This was a while ago, but the secrecy surrounding this project is no more, so I'm able to blog shots of the job with Stika and Alfa. We spent 3 days up in Liverpool painting this.

This latest Umbro Campaign sees them going back to grass roots football, contributing X amount of cash to struggling football clubs, to invest back into themselves. This particular club was responsible for making Steven Gerard the footballer he is today.

Watch out for a load more Umbro murals as Monorex carry on travelling the country

Enjoy

Nissan Cube Car Launch

I found myself taking pics at the recent Nissan Cube car launch party at the Boiler House, Truman Brewery. The space was designed and put together by french outfit Colette.

Secret Wars were on hand as live entertainment with an exhibition battle between Mr Hicks and Teck. Reeps One was the extra bonus on the night, doing what he does best, making noises with his voice box.

The Cube car is being pushed as a piece of art, a sculpture, I guess in the hope to appeal to 'us' the next car buying generation. Love it or hate it, The Cube is set to be a feature on British roads.

Rolling with the Punches

A good friend and even better artist Josh Sutterby will be displaying a new collection of work on December 3rd at The Print House Gallery.

The show titled 'Rolling with the Punches' explores emotions derived from darkness and violence with Josh's trademark tattoo style. A great way to begin the festive season. I urge all those out there to try and make the opening. If you're not around, the show will be running until 10th January 2010 giving you all a bit of time to pass by and show your support.

School Wars Project

I've been working on an exciting project for Schhol Wars. 16 schools from around the country will travel to London in a huge tournament hosted at the impressive Village Underground. Pupils from each school, will be captained by one of the Monorex artists and shown exactly what it takes to reign supreme.

A lot of thought and dedication has gone into this. Fresh fruit, healthy Pizza's courtesy of Pizza Express means even Jamie Oliver would approve of the event. Sponsored by Ubisoft, the games developer and in conjunction with the latest release of the Teenage Mutant Turtles Games, schools will battle it out, not only for glory, or a new bespoke Secret Wars x Edding pen trophy, but each winning kid gets to go home with a brand new Nintendo Wii!! Makes you want to be a kid again.

After all's done, dusted and tidy, there will be an after party held at the Reebok Lounge with free drink, food and plenty of music.

Check back for pics on how the event went down

Hi 5

Artist Chu was commissioned by the Monorex team to produce this rather attractive 5 on the village underground wall. If you didn’t notice it during the birthday bash, then shame on you. It’s still up there so go have a look. Otherwise check out some of Chu’s other bits and pieces here

Everyone turned out to celebrate Monorex's 5th birthday at the Village Underground. With a load of surprises, a ton of cup cakes and a variety of tunes courtesy of Klose 1 and DJ session (to name but a few) it was certain to be a great party.

Happy Birthday Monorex....see you at your 10th birthday bash
