The night Fone Jacker came to Secret Wars

Everyone knew Channel 4 would be filming at the next London Secret Wars event, but nobody knew what they were filming 4. Some guessed it'd be an arts and culture documentary, but none imagined it would be comedy sketch show Fone Jacker!

The star of the show is currently filming a new comedy series, where instead of calling up his victims, he takes on a number of different characters. At Secret Wars, he was Brian, a world famous artist and critic.

The show should air in february, so keep your eyes peeled for it if you were there

Nissan Cube Car Launch

I found myself taking pics at the recent Nissan Cube car launch party at the Boiler House, Truman Brewery. The space was designed and put together by french outfit Colette.

Secret Wars were on hand as live entertainment with an exhibition battle between Mr Hicks and Teck. Reeps One was the extra bonus on the night, doing what he does best, making noises with his voice box.

The Cube car is being pushed as a piece of art, a sculpture, I guess in the hope to appeal to 'us' the next car buying generation. Love it or hate it, The Cube is set to be a feature on British roads.

Book Club x Secret Wars Event

Secret Wars has a new London Home in the form of the brand new venue 'The Book Club'. Situated next to the Pure Evil gallery on Leonard Street, this is set to be an exciting partnership. Dedicated to supporting the arts and creating a central creative hub, The Book Club have a number of facilities available, including a secluded screening room, a number of projectors and a ping-pong table!! What more could you ask for?

Look out for a number of exciting projects including a Jaysus x Secret Wars Photo Exhibition TBC.

The pics below are from our first SW event there, which saw Mr Gauky battle against Alfa with support from Reeps 1 and a load of SW DJ's made this a great launch and paved the way for a brand new SW series!

Enjoy

School Wars Project

I've been working on an exciting project for Schhol Wars. 16 schools from around the country will travel to London in a huge tournament hosted at the impressive Village Underground. Pupils from each school, will be captained by one of the Monorex artists and shown exactly what it takes to reign supreme.

A lot of thought and dedication has gone into this. Fresh fruit, healthy Pizza's courtesy of Pizza Express means even Jamie Oliver would approve of the event. Sponsored by Ubisoft, the games developer and in conjunction with the latest release of the Teenage Mutant Turtles Games, schools will battle it out, not only for glory, or a new bespoke Secret Wars x Edding pen trophy, but each winning kid gets to go home with a brand new Nintendo Wii!! Makes you want to be a kid again.

After all's done, dusted and tidy, there will be an after party held at the Reebok Lounge with free drink, food and plenty of music.

Check back for pics on how the event went down

Brighton Bound

There's a crazy schedule lined up for Secret Wars at Brighton - I'll be there taking snaps, so come on down and support us....here's the schecule

Secret Wars Brighton
Its taken months of planning, but the time has come. Secret Wars will be hosting the Graffiti village at this years White air festival, Europe’s biggest extreme sports festival!!

Secret Wars is the World’s premier live art battle – working in similar ways to Fight Club, Secret Wars battles are set up / promoted through word of mouth.

These live art battles are being hosted in the darkest corners of each city, sometimes you might stumble across one in the basement of a bar in the East end of London or even in a deserted meat factory in Malmo Sweden...

This creative battle network grows bigger by the day, every month or so we add more battle locations while new and very exciting artists enter the frame...
